Again, I applied the satin primer and radiance veil before the white skin base. I went quite heavy on the radiance veil as I wanted the skin to be glowing!! I then applied the skin base a tiny bit at a time and quickly buffed it into the skin as it dries so quickly. I gradually built it up until I had the coverage I was after.
I then used a small amount of a very beautiful gold shimmer pigment all over the lid and up to the brow. Then I mixed up some of the mac gold glitter pigment with mixing medium and dabbed it onto my eyes using my fingers. I didn't really have a guide for this, I just kind of went with it. I made it more dense on the lid, and the glitter dispersed the closer it got to the brow bone. I took a small amount of the shimmer pigment under my bottom lashes. To finish off the eyes, I used supra colour to paint the lashes. I loved the effect that it gave in the last look I did, so I wanted to use it again! I feel like its a really good way of adding an Elizabethan yet contemporary feel to the make up- as their hair was so fair so they would have had fair eyelashes.
I decided that although I wanted this to have an Elizabethan feel, I didn't want to get rid of my eyebrows. However I did want to brush them up to sort of make the eyes look as if they were on fire- I tried to do this as Elizabeth was known for being a very fiery woman and I feel like it is a representation of her passion for her country. I didn't have any gel or glue to make the eyebrows stay in position, so this is something I need to do differently next time.
For the lips I used a gold liquid metal eyeshadow all over and then a more copper toned shadow to line the lips. This just gave a nice effect as it added more dimension and the two colours looked so nice blended together.
To finish off I contoured using a regular matte bronzer and then used lots of gold highlighter on the cheekbones, down the nose, and on the cupids bow.
I am so pleased with how this turned out, although things need to be tweaked and I want to play around with it more, I am going to us this as the basis for one of my final designs.
